TOMAH – The Marshfield boys hockey team was held to 12 shots on goal and dropped a 4-0 decision to Tomah/Sparta in its opening game at the Tomah Invitational on Friday at the Tomah Ice Center.
Parker Holloway scored twice in the final seven minutes of the first period to give Tomah/Sparta all it would need.
Collin Ritter and Alex Boyko tacked on goals for Tomah/Sparta in the second period.
Rahul Dissanayke had 15 saves in goal for the Tigers.
Marshfield will play Black River Falls in the third-place game at 2 p.m. Tomah/Sparta will take on Monona Grove in the championship game of the tournament at 4:30 p.m.
