AUBURNDALE – Lily Bellanti scored 12 of her team-high 16 points in the second half as the Auburndale girls basketball team pushed past Almond-Bancroft 52-47 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.
The game was tied 21-21 at halftime before Auburndale was able to post a 31-26 advantage over the second 18 minutes, making eight free throws down the stretch.
Kylie Anderson added 10 points, and Chesney Nagel and Mya Krings each chipped in eight for Auburndale, which improves to 3-0 this season.
Mya Dernbach led Almond-Bancroft (2-1) with 18 points.
Auburndale will play a Marawood Conference crossover game at Abbotsford on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
