KRONENWETTER – Sam Bezlyk scored 38 points and pulled down 20 rebounds to lead the Spencer boys basketball team to an 84-63 win over Northland Lutheran in a nonconference game Monday night at Northland Lutheran High School.
The Rockets grabbed 26 offensive rebounds and held a 57-26 advantage on the boards as they pulled out the road win to improve to 2-0 this season.
Bezlyk finished 16-for-26 shooting from the field for Spencer. Weston Nieman and Noah Anderson each chipped in 10 points in the victory.
Andrew Wiechmann had 24 points for Northland Lutheran, which was playing in its season-opener.
Spencer will play another nonconference game at Thorp on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
