ABBOTSFORD – The Auburndale girls basketball team stay undefeated, holding Abbotsford to just six made baskets in a 71-17 victory Friday in a Marawood Conference crossover game at Abbotsford High School.
The Eagles (4-0, 2-0 Marawood Conference South Division) raced out to a 39-10 lead by halftime and held Abbotsford (0-5, 0-4 Marawood North) to just seven points in the second half to cruise to the victory.
Eleven different Auburndale players scored, led by Lily Bellanti with 20 points and Myah Katzenberger with 16.
Auburndale will travel to Wisconsin Rapids Assumption (5-0, 3-0 Marawood South) for an early-season showdown among conference leaders on Tuesday. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
