ABBOTSFORD – Auburndale senior Thomas Aue poured in 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Eagles to a 65-50 win over Abbotsford in a Marawood Conference boys basketball crossover game Friday night at Abbotsford High School.
The Eagles pulled out to a 32-19 lead at halftime and maintained their double-digit lead to improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the Marawood Conference South Division.
Aue made 12 of 17 field goal attempts and all four of his free throw tries to pace Auburndale.
Blake Raab added a pair of 3-pointers and 15 points, and Peyton Weinfurter chipped in 10 for the Eagles in the road victory.
Grayson Totzke had four 3-pointers and a team-high 22 points for Abbotsford (2-1, 0-1 Marawood North).
Auburndale will play a nonconference game at Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Monday at 7:15 p.m. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
