Spencer girls basketball slips past Loyal to improve to 4-1

LOYAL – The Spencer girls basketball team continued its hot start to the season earning a come-from-behind 41-37 win over Loyal in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Friday night at Loyal High School.

The Rockets trailed 17-16 at halftime before pulling ahead and finishing off the four-point win despite going just 6-for-21 at the free throw line.

Autumn Davis had 16 points and Emma Nieman added nine for the Rockets, who are now 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the Cloverbelt East.

Olivia Nikolai led Loyal (1-2, 1-1 Cloverbelt East) with nine points.

Spencer jumps back into action Monday with a nonconference game at Abbotsford.
