WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Marshfield won 10 of the 11 events and had seven runner-up finishes in a dominating 122-37 win over Wisconsin Rapids in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Tuesday at Lincoln High School.
Kevin Buth, Simon Dagit and Carson Klumb all won two individual events and were part of three relay wins for the Tigers (1-1 WVC).
Buth won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.00 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.87; Dagit was first in the 200 individual medley (2:24.62) and the 100 freestyle (53.41 seconds); and Klumb won the 50 freestyle (23.89) and the 500 freestyle (5:50.61) for the Tigers.
Luke Hilbelink, Joshua Peters, Dagit and Klumb won the 200 medley relay (1:51.50); Buth, Hilbelink, Paul Ugoretz and Ethan Sampson took first in the 200 freestyle relay (1:43.17); and Zach Kayhart, Klumb, Buth and Dagit won the 400 freestyle relay (3:33.90) for Marshfield.
Peters also picked up a win in the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.75 for Marshfield.
Marshfield will be back in the pool Thursday at D.C. Everest.
