Marshfield boys basketball crushes D.C. Everest in WVC opener

WESTON – The Marshfield boys basketball team dominated from the opening tip, rolling out to a 24-point halftime lead, and defeated D.C. Everest 59-31 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference opener for both teams on Friday night at D.C. Everest High School.

The Tigers led 42-18 after the first half and cruised to the win, improving to 2-1 overall.

Landon Lee finished with 15 points, Joey Ketterer chipped in 13, and Brooks Hinson added 11 for Marshfield, which shot a sizzling 62 percent (23-for-37) from the floor and were 10-for-18 from 3-point range.

Luke Auner and Sam Dassow each had seven points for D.C. Everest (3-3 overall).

Marshfield will play a nonconference game at Brookfield Central on Saturday at 4 p.m.
