Dennee wins title, Marshfield wrestling places 15th at Dvorak Invitational in Illinois

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. – Marshfield senior Caleb Dennee kept his perfect season intact by winning the 175-pound title at the Al Dvorak Wrestling Invitational, which was held on Saturday and Sunday at Harlem High School.

Dennee went 5-0, which included a pair of pins and a technical fall, to take first place at 175 pounds, and improve to 17-0 this season.

Marshfield finished 15th with 99.5 points in the 43-team, two-day event. Elmhurst (Ill.) Catholic won the team title with 204.5 points.

Marshfield also got seventh-place finishes from Jon Sternweis at 132 pounds and Easton Ledden at 150 as both went 4-2 at the tournament.

Marshfield will compete at the Bi-State Classic in La Crosse on Dec. 27-28.
