AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team rebounded after suffering its first loss of the season last Friday by pounding Edgar 63-31 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Monday night at Auburndale High School.
The Eagles (6-1, 4-1 Marawood South) turned a six-point halftime lead into a blowout, outscoring Edgar (2-5, 1-4 Marawood South) 40-14 with a dominating second-half performance.
Blake Raab had 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way for Auburndale, as he went 5-for-9 from 3-point range and made all four of his free throw attempts. Peyton Weinfurter chipped in 14 points with three 3-pointers for the Eagles.
The Eagles host Weyauwega-Fremont on Saturday.
