Stratford boys basketball blows out Manawa in opening game of home holiday tournament

STRATFORD – Drew Bruesewitz poured in 25 points to lead the Stratford boys basketball team to a dominating 72-34 win over Manawa in a first-round game at the annual Stratford Holiday Tournament on Friday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers (7-1) shot 56 percent (26-for-46) from the field and were 17-for-26 from the free throw line in the victory.

Riley Spindler added 14 points for Stratford, which saw 12 different players score in the victory.

Stratford will take on Owen-Withee for the tournament championship Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
