Marshfield boys basketball drops second-round game to Middletown at Florida tourney

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Marshfield boys basketball team was held to five points in the fourth quarter and dropped a 46-42 decision to Middletown (Ohio) in a winners’ bracket game at the KSA Holiday Tournament on Saturday.

Marshfield (4-3) led 37-35 after three quarters before making just two baskets over the final eight minutes and suffered the close loss.

Landon Lee led Marshfield with 21 points, making six of the team’s 10 3-pointers. Top scorer Brooks Hinson was held to just three points in the loss.

Marshfield will play in the third-place game against Olentangy Liberty (Ohio) at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The game will be streamed live at zaleskisports.com.
