AUBURNDALE – Auburndale held Bonduel to just three baskets and 10 points in the second half to power past the Bears 35-27 in a nonconference girls basketball game Thursday at Auburndale High School.
The game was tied 17-17 at halftime before Auburndale pulled out front with an 18-10 run in the second half, limiting the Bears to three baskets and four free throws over the final 18 minutes.
Lily Bellanti scored five points and Myah Katzenberger four in the second half as Auburndale (7-2) pulled away.
Katzenberger finished with nine points, Bellanti added eight and Rose Hasenohrl had seven in the victory.
Auburndale returns to Marawood Conference South Division play next week as it hosts Marathon on Tuesday and Edgar on Thursday, Jan. 9.
