MARSHFIELD – Tylan Schreiner netted a hat trick to lead the Marshfield boys hockey team to a 6-1 win over Medford on Saturday at the Marshfield Youth Ice Recreation Arena.
The win snaps a four-game losing streak for the Tigers, who improve to 6-12. Medford falls to 1-15.
Schreiner scored a goal in each period as Marshfield built a 6-0 lead. Medford scored with 1:19 left for its only goal.
Austin Littmann, Travis Kersten and Schreiner scored in the first six minutes of the game for Marshfield.
Cole Irish made it 4-0 with a goal 26 seconds into the second period and Schreiner finished off the scoring with two more goals.
Goalie Mac Alborero had 16 saves and Brad Krueger had three in relief for the Tigers. Zac Alboreo had three assists and Bobby Leggon had two in the win.
Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest on Tuesday.
