Spencer girls basketball uses second-half surge to defeat Cadott

SPENCER – The Spencer girls basketball team overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to edge Cadott 57-54 in a nonconference matchup Friday night at Spencer High School.

Cadott led 31-21 at halftime before the Rockets surged from behind to pull out the win and improve to 7-4 this season, surpassing last year’s win total in the process.

Autumn Davis scored 20 of her game-high 28 points in the second half run for the Rockets. Emma Nieman chipped in 15 points in the win.

Taryan Donahue (13 points) and Kasey Moldrem (12 points) each had four 3-pointers for Cadott (6-5).

Spencer will host Gilman for a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Thursday.
