AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale girls basketball team snapped Marathon’s seven-game winning streak with a 42-33 victory in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale held Marathon to just 11 points in the second half to finish off the win, its third in a row.
Both teams are now 8-2 overall and 4-2 in the Marawood Conference South Division.
Lily Bellanti led a balanced scoring attack with nine points for the Eagles.
Auburndale will host Edgar on Thursday.
