EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield girls basketball team suffered its fourth-straight loss, falling to Eau Claire Memorial 57-38 in a nonconference game Tuesday at Memorial High School.
The Tigers shot just 28 percent (13-for-46) overall, 9-for-19 from the free throw line and 3-for-19 from 3-point range in the loss as they fall to 4-6 this season.
Zaida Kolbeck and Hailey Klumb both scored 11 points to lead Marshfield.
Rayna Welsch had a game-high 18 points, and Norah Kling made 10 of 12 free throws and scored 16 points for the Old Abes (10-1).
Sole possession of first place in the Wisconsin Valley Conference will be on the line as Marshfield hosts Stevens Point as part of a girls-boys doubleheader on Friday. The girls game begins at 6:15 p.m. with the boys to follow at approximately at 8 p.m. Both games will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
