MARSHFIELD – The Columbus Catholic boys basketball team snapped a three-game losing skid with a 54-43 win over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division contest Friday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
The Dons trailed 26-25 at halftime before outscoring Colby by 12 points in the second half, holding the Hornets (2-5, 2-2 Cloverbelt East) to just 17 points over the final 18 minutes.
Mac Konieczny scored a game-high 21 points and Ben Weiland had 13 for Columbus Catholic, which improves to 5-5 and 2-2 in conference play.
Miguel Morillion led Colby with 10 points.
Columbus Catholic will host Stevens Point Pacelli for a nonconference game on Monday.
