Stratford girls basketball pounds Abbotsford to pick up 10th win of season

ABBOTSFORD – Kayla Casperson scored 20 points as three Stratford players scored in double figures and the Tigers blasted Abbotsford 70-21 in a Marawood Conference crossover girls basketball game Friday at Abbotsford High School.

The Tigers held Abbotsford to just nine made field goals, rolled out to a 22-point lead by halftime and halted their three-game losing streak with the lopsided road win.

Erika Frick added 11 points and Daisy Yoder made 10 of 12 free throws to chip in 10 points for Stratford (10-3, 7-1 Marawood South).

Stratford’s next game is Thursday at Auburndale.
