FREEDOM – The Auburndale wrestling team had seven top-five finishes, including one champion, and won the team title at the Freedom Irish Invitational on Saturday at Freedom High School.
Colton Weiler improved to 31-0 this season by winning at the 150-pound title for Auburndale, which had 173 points. Evansville was a close second with 170.5 points.
Derek Godard (120 pounds), Zade Grassel (126) and Alex Becker (285) both finished second, Carson Weiler was third at 113, and Sawyer Kundinger (106) and Conner Johnson each took fifth place for Auburndale.
Auburndale will host Rosholt, St. Lawrence Seminary and Mosinee for a quadrangular next Saturday.
