Stratford boys basketball extends winning streak to seven with win over Assumption

STRATFORD – Alec Chapel scored a career-high 18 points to lead the Stratford boys basketball team to a 68-46 win over Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Stratford High School.

The Tigers outscored Assumption by double digits in each half to their seventh game in a row and improve to 11-1 overall and 6-1 in the Marawood South. Click here to view the Marawood South boys basketball standings

Ethan Spindler added 14 points, and Kaden Foster hit three 3-pointers to score 11 points for Stratford.

Stratford will travel to Auburndale (11-1, 6-1 Marawood South) on Friday with sole possession of first place in the Marawood South on the line. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
