LA CROSSE – The Marshfield boys basketball team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end with a hard-fought 59-55 loss to Waunakee on Saturday at the Midwest Players Classic at the La Crosse Center.
Brooks Hinson nailed four 3-pointers and scored 22 points, Landon Lee added 17 points and six rebounds, and Chris Pohl had 14 points and six rebounds for the Tigers, accounting for 53 of their 55 points.
Eli Selk led Waunakee (13-2) with 17 points.
Marshfield (8-5) will play at Neenah for a nonconference game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The game is a rematch of last year’s WIAA Division 1 sectional final that was won by Neenah 52-48.
