Spencer boys basketball rolls past Gilman, Colby to move to 10-4

SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball teams picked up a pair of 20-plus point victories last week, knocking off Gilman 75-50 on Thursday and Colby 82-60 on Friday. Both games were played at the Spencer Dome.

Spencer junior Sam Bezlyk was on his game in both contests, scoring 31 points while grabbing 14 rebounds in the win over Gilman, and following that up with 32 points and 15 rebounds against Colby.

Noah Anderson added 16 points for Spencer against Gilman and 21 points against Colby.

The Rockets are now 10-4 overall and 4-2 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division, which puts them in a four-way tie for second place behind 5-1 Loyal.

Spencer plays at Neillsville on Tuesday.
