MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys hockey team picked up a tight 6-5 nonconference win over Antigo on Saturday at the Marshfield Area Ice Arena.
Cole Kenney and Joey Cashmer scored early in the first period, and Blake Meissner added a goal midway through the period to give Marshfield a 3-1 lead.
Antigo fought back to tie the game before the Tigers scored three straight on goals from Wyatt Fischer, Cashmer and Kenney, making it 6-3.
Antigo’s Owen Dickman scored twice in the final 10 minutes to bring the Red Robins (8-6-1) within one, but Marshfield (7-11) was able to hold on for the victory. Dickman finished with four of Antigo’s five goals.
Marshfield’s next game is Thursday at home against D.C. Everest.
