Stratford boys basketball cruises past Phillips

STRATFORD – Stratford junior guard Brooks Vanderhoof scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Tigers to a 73-35 win over Phillips in a Marawood Conference boys basketball crossover game Thursday night at Stratford High School.

Vanderhoof went 9-for-11 from the field, which included three 3-pointers, to pace Stratford (12-2, 7-2 Marawood South).

Drew Bruesewitz added 18 points, and Caleb Wrensch and Kaden Foster each had seven rebounds in the win for the Tigers.

Stratford’s next game is Tuesday at Marathon.
