Auburndale boys basketball hits 12 3-pointers, downs Rib Lake

AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team won its eighth-straight game on Thursday, knocking off Marawood Conference North Division leader Rib Lake 61-44 in a Marawood crossover game at Auburndale High School.

The Eagles led 37-21 by halftime and was able to finish off the double-digit win, improving to 13-1 overall and 8-1 in the Marawood South.

Auburndale knocked down 12 3-pointers, four from Josh Lundgren (16 points) and three by Blake Raab (17 points), in the victory.

Lundgren went 6-for-8 from the field and Raab made all six of his free throws as well for the Eagles.

Talon Scheithauer led Rib Lake (9-4, 7-2 Marawood North) 18 points.

Auburndale will be back in action Tuesday at Wausau Newman Catholic.
