STRATFORD – Carly Pankratz and Kayla Casperson each went 4-for-4 from the free throw line in overtime to lift the Stratford girls basketball team to a 60-52 victory over Phillips in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday at Stratford High School.
The game was tied 48-48 after regulation as Phillips’ Mataya Eckert scored 20 of her game-high 30 points in the second half.
In the extra period, the Tigers (11-4, 8-2 Marawood South) outscored Phillips (11-3, 7-3 Marawood North) 12-4 as Tria Tubbs made two baskets and Stratford knocked down all eight of its free throws.
Carly Pankratz had a team-high 22 points for Stratford, with Tubbs added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the victory.
Stratford will host Adams-Friendship for a nonconference game Tuesday.
