SPARTA – Jace Frick and Caleb Dennee earned individual titles as the Marshfield wrestling team placed third at the Sparta Invitational on Saturday at Sparta High School.
Frick (21-9) won the 215-pound title and Dennee (36-2) continued his stellar season with another tournament championship at 175 pounds for the Tigers, who ended up with 172.5 points. Holmen won the team title with 214 points and Reedsburg was second with 185.5.
Easton Ledden (29-9) took second at 144 pounds, Haiden Carlson (23-6) was third at 165, Brok Carolfi finished third at 285, and Kashton Kilty was fourth at 138 as well for Marshfield.
Marshfield will battle for the Wisconsin Valley Conference regular-season title with its final dual of the year at Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
