Marshfield Middle School gymnastics B team wins title, A team takes third at Lakeland

MINOCQUA – The Marshfield Middle School gymnastics team opened its season with a B Division team title at the Lakeland Quadrangular on Monday, Jan. 27.

Marshfield finished with 131 points, with Rhinelander second with 129.35 and Antigo third with 76.85.

Quinn Miller won the all-around title with a score of 35.2 points, with Kaidence Keding taking third, Maci Kuehmichel fourth and Emi Tippen fifth for the Tigers.

Miller won the balance beam competition with a score of 9.1, just ahead of Kuehmichel, who had an 8.7.

Miller also placed second in the vault (9.05), Kesley Wray was second in the uneven bars (8.1) and Keding third (8.0).

Competing for the Marshfield A team were Kaylee Fredrick and Leeann Luedtke in the all-around and Wray in the vault and floor exercise. Luedtke finished fourth in the all-around (27.3) and third in the beam (7.2).

Marshfield placed third with 66.6 points. Lakeland won with 117.75 and Rhinelander was second with 104.35.

Marshfield will compete at another five-team meet at Antigo on Monday, Feb. 3.
