MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys swimming & diving team won every event and cruised to a 133-27 win over Wausau East/West in the Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet season-finale Thursday at Marshfield High School.
The Tigers finish the WVC season in second place with a 6-2 record, while East/West ends up 0-8.
Simon Dagit, Kevin Buth and Carson Klumb each won a pair of individual events and were all part of two relay victories for Marshfield.
Dagit won the 50-yard freestyle (24.65 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (58.00), Buth took first in the 500 freestyle (5:44.77a) and the 200 freestyle (2:04.67), and Klumb was first in both the 100 freestyle (53.88) and the 100 backstroke (1:04.49).
Zach Kayhart won the 200 individual medley in 2:22.73 and Joshua Peters was first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.48 as well for Marshfield.
The Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School.
