Auburndale girls basketball falls to first-place Wisconsin Rapids Assumption

AUBURNDALE – Jordyn Jaglinski drilled seven 3-pointers and scored 25 points to lead Wisconsin Rapids Assumption to a 56-40 win over Auburndale in a battle of Marawood Conference South Division leaders on Thursday at Auburndale High School.

Sarah Shaw and Addi Vollert each chipped in 10 points for the Royals, who are now 15-1 overall and 11-0 in the Marawood South and leads Stratford by two games and Auburndale by three in loss column in the conference standings.

Myah Katzenberger finished with a team-high 14 points for Auburndale (16-3, 10-3 Marawood South), which had its 10-game winning streak snapped.

Both teams will play nonconference road games on Monday as Assumption travels to Neillsville and Auburndale takes on Pittsville.
