STRATFORD – Stratford won five individual titles and the team title at the 2025 Marawood Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Stratford High School.
The Tigers are back atop the Marawood, winning their 10th title in the past 11 seasons. Marathon ended Stratford’s streak of nine in a row last season.
Stratford finished with 277.5 points with Auburndale second with 226.5 points as the Eagles had three individual conference champions.
Stratford and Auburndale matched up in the finals at five different weight classes, with Auburndale winning three.
Zade Grassel (126 pounds), Colton Weiler (150) and Trevor Trowbridge (157) were among the Eagles to win individual titles, all defeating Stratford wrestlers.
Earning titles for Stratford were Trenton Cournoyer (120), Aaron Knetter (132), Jack Tubbs (175), Carter Lueck (190) and Drew Gage (285).
Auburndale and Stratford wrap up their regular-season schedules with a Marawood quad at Stratford on Thursday, with Phillips and Chequamegon. Both will compete at a WIAA Division 3 regional at Edgar on Feb. 15.
