Spencer girls basketball snaps six-game losing skid with home win over Thorp

SPENCER – The Spencer girls basketball team snapped a six-game losing streak with a 55-35 nonconference win over Thorp on Tuesday at the Spencer Dome.

Autumn Davis returned from injury to score a game-high 28 points, 18 coming in the first half as the Rockets built a commanding 35-15 lead.

Hannah Schreiner added 10 points for Spencer, which is now 8-10 this season.

Shaylie Zarza scored 16 points for Thorp (0-17).

Spencer returns to Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Thursday at home against Greenwood.
