Stratford boys basketball jumps on Edgar early, cruises to home win

STRATFORD – Riley Spindler poured in a career-high 20 points to lead the Stratford boys basketball team to a 65-47 win over Edgar in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Tuesday at Stratford High School.

The Tigers cruised out to a 39-21 lead by halftime and kept Edgar at bay the rest of the way, improving to 15-2 overall and 9-2 in the Marawood South. Click here to view the Marawood South boys basketball standings

Spindler finished 9-for-12 from the field, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers as Stratford shot 51 percent overall.

Drew Bruesewitz added 13 points, and Jett Schoenherr had 11 points and six rebounds for the Tigers.

Stratford, winners of four games in a row, will play at Chequamegon on Friday before five-straight home games beginning Monday against Black River Falls.
