Stratford girls basketball earns Marawood South win at Marathon

MARATHON – The Stratford girls basketball team on its fifth-straight game and second in a row on the road, downing Marathon 46-39 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday at Marathon High School.

Carly Pankratz made five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points to pace the Tigers, who are now 15-4 overall and 10-2 in the Marawood South.

Mylee Haehlke led Marathon (15-4, 8-4 Marawood South) with 19 points.

Stratford will play a Marawood crossover game at Chequamegon on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
