SPENCER – Spencer/Columbus Catholic/Granton won a pair of titles and had runner-up finishes in three other weight classes as it finished fourth at the 2025 Cloverbelt Conference Wrestling Tournament on Friday at Spencer High School.
The meet, originally scheduled for Saturday, was moved up a day due to an impending winter storm forecast to hit the area.
Cadott won the team title with 246 points, well ahead of second-place Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal (162). Spencer/Columbus Catholic/Granton placed fourth among the nine teams with 157.5 points.
Jacob Soback (21-14) won the 190-pound title with a 15-6 major decision over Brock Webster of Cadott in the championship match, and Wyatt Karl (27-10) pinned Mitchell Reineke of Cadott in 1:02 to take the 215-pound title for the Rockets.
Mason Wolf (132 pounds), Teddy Meyer (165) and Sam Helgestad (175) each placed second, and Grant Wirtz (10-6), Kayden Patterson (113), Gavin Andrew (120), Drew Lang (138) and Hunter Boyd (157) all finished fourth for Spencer/Columbus Catholic/Granton.
The Rockets will compete at a WIAA Division 2 regional at Hayward on Saturday, Feb. 15.
