Columbus Catholic boys basketball earns road win at Newman Catholic

WAUSAU – Three players scored in double figures to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team to a 60-43 nonconference win over Wausau Newman Catholic on Monday at Newman Catholic High School.

Sam Dums scored 16 points, Mac Konieczny added 15 and Ben Weiland 12 in the win for Columbus Catholic.

The Dons are now 12-7, while Newman Catholic drops to 4-15.

Quincy Pfender had 18 points and Liam McCarty 15 for the Cardinals.

Columbus Catholic’s next game is Thursday at Colby.
