AUBURNDALE – Blake Raab scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack as the Auburndale boys basketball team defeated Athens 52-39 in a Marawood Conference crossover game Thursday at Auburndale High School.

The Eagles used a nine-point advantage in the second half to bust open a tight game on their way to their 14th-straight win.

Peyton Weinfurter added 11 points and Thomas Aue scored 10 for Auburndale (19-1, 12-1 Marawood South).

Riley Schultz-Becker led Athens (5-15, 4-9 Marawood North) with 17 points.

Auburndale hosts Stevens Point Pacelli for a nonconference game on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
