D.C. Everest blanks Marshfield boys hockey

MARSHFIELD – After a scoreless first period it all fell apart for the Marshfield boys hockey team.

D.C. Everest scored five goals in the second period and went on to a 7-0 win over the Tigers in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Tuesday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Recreation Arena.

The Tigers fall to 6-13 and 1-8 in the WVC, while Everest improves to 12-6-3 and 6-5 in conference.

Seven different Evergreens scored in the victory.

Leading 2-0, Everest scored three goals in a span of 1:19 near the end of the second period to open up its advantage.

Marshfield had 16 shots on goal, but all were saved by Everest goalie Jared Enkers. Marshfield goalie Mac Alboreo had 23 saves.

The Tigers play at first-place Wausau West on Thursday at Marathon Park.
