KAUKAUNA – Addie Banaszyski drove to the basket and scored with 2 seconds remaining to give Kaukauna a 45-43 win over Marshfield in a nonconference girls basketball game Thursday night at Kaukauna High School.
Marshfield fought back from a 28-17 halftime deficit and tied the game twice in the final two minutes, the second time on a pair of free throws by Hailey Klumb with 14 seconds left.
Banaszyski took a pass at the top of the key and blew down the lane for a layup to give the Ghosts the late lead. Marshfield’s last-second heave fell short as the Tigers lost their third-straight game.
Klumb and Emma Ridgway each scored 10 points to lead Marshfield, which falls to 11-11 this season.
Savanna Robinson led Kaukauna (11-10) with 12 points.
Marshfield will host Wausau West for its regular-season home finale on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
