SPENCER – Sam Bezlyk poured in a career-high 39 points as the Spencer boys basketball team rolled past Greenwood 76-33 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Thursday at the Spencer Dome.

Bezlyk, a junior forward who surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career last week in a loss to Owen-Withee, accounted for more than half of the Rockets’ points and beat his previous career-high by one point that he set back on Dec. 2 against Northland Lutheran. This was his fourth 30-point game of the season.

Greenwood drops to 3-17 and 0-12 in conference play.
