AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team overcame a double-digit halftime deficit and defeated Stevens Point Pacelli 57-49 in a nonconference matchup Saturday night at Auburndale High School.
The Eagles trailed 29-18 at halftime before erupting for a dominating second half, outscoring Pacelli by 19 points to earn the eight-point win.
Thomas Aue scored 16 points, and Blake Raab had 15 points and eight rebounds in the win for Auburndale, which has now won 15 games in a row and improves to 20-1 this season.
Auburndale knocked down 10 3-pointers in the victory, four by Josh Lundgren and three from Raab.
Camden Schurk and Zach Jeidy each scored 19 points for Pacelli (15-5).
Auburndale will play a Marawood Conference South Division game at Edgar on Friday.
