Rosters for this summer’s Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Games were released on Monday with a number of area players and coaches on the rosters.
The Eight-Player All-Star Game will be played Friday, July 18, at 6 p.m. The Small School All-Star Game is at noon and the Large School All-Star Game is at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, all at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh.
The game features recently-graduated high school seniors from across the state, split between North and South squads.
Jason Tubbs, who has retired as head coach of Stratford after winning three-straight WIAA state championships, will coach one more time as the leader of the Small School North team, with his son Jack Tubbs serving as one of the team’s quarterbacks.
Stratford defensive back Jett Schoenherr and offensive lineman Carter Lueck will also play on the North team. Other area players on the North team are defensive back Andrew Brodhagen and offensive lineman Daniel Davila of Abbotsford, Edgar linebacker Ty Schnelle and Amherst linebacker Sam Stuczynski.
Stratford’s Greg Belter, Neillsville’s Reed Lehman and Abbotsford’s Jake Knapmiller are among the assistant coaches serving under Tubbs.
Marshfield offensive lineman Ethan Knecht will play for the North team in the Large School game.
Wausau West defensive end Deondre Bournes and offensive lineman Will McCorison, and D.C. Everest quarterback Logan George and running back Blake Bangtson are also members of the North squad.
