WAUSAU – Senior guard Brooks Hinson hit six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Marshfield boys basketball team to a 59-39 win over Wausau West in a Wisconsin Valley Conference matchup Tuesday at Wausau West High School.
Marshfield doubled up West by halftime, rolling out to a 26-13 lead, and upped the lead to more than 20 in the second half.
Chris Pohl added 15 points for the Tigers, who improve to 15-5 overall and 10-0 in the WVC with their seventh-straight win.
Griffin Lange scored 10 points for Wausau West (15-7, 6-5 WVC).
Marshfield will host Merrill on Friday and Eau Claire Memorial on Saturday.
