WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Assumption finished off an undefeated Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball championship with a 68-47 win over Stratford on Thursday at Assumption High School.
The Royals took a seven-point lead into halftime and extended it to more than 20 with a 14-point advantage in the second half.
Anna Schooley poured in 21 points and Jordyn Jaglinski added 16 as the duo combined for seven 3-pointers for Assumption (23-1, 16-0 Marawood South).
Carly Pankratz had 16 points and Kayla Casperson scored 13 for Stratford, which wraps up its regular season with a 19-5 record and a 13-3 mark in the Marawood South. Click here to view the Marawood South girls basketball standings
Stratford will host a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal on Friday, Feb. 28, against the winner of Tuesday’s quarterfinal between Onalaska Luther and Osseo-Fairchild.
