WAUKESHA – The Marshfield 200-yard freestyle relay team set a new school record as it placed 18th at the 2025 WIAA State Division 1 Boys Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at Waukesha South High School.
The Tigers’ relay team of Simon Dagit, Zach Kayhart, Carson Klumb and Kevin Buth swam in 1:29.64, topping the record it set at sectionals last week by 1.6 seconds. Dagit also set a new record in the 50 freestyle, starting the relay.
Dagit, the lone Marshfield individual state swimming qualifier, took 24th in the 100-yard butterfly in 53.47 seconds.
Marshfield’s Shaun Hunter qualified for the finals in the diving competition and finished 13th with 296.95 points.
