EAU CLAIRE – Three wrestlers from Spencer/Columbus Catholic/Granton that reached the WIAA Division 2 individual wrestling sectional at Amery High School were eliminated from postseason competition Saturday.
The top three finishers in each of the 14 weight classes at the sectional qualify for the 2025 WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament, which will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, through Saturday, March 1, at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Teddy Meyer at 165 pounds, Jakob Soback at 190, and Wyatt Karl at 215 all lost their quarterfinal matches for the Rockets.
Soback (26-17) was the only one to move into the consolation bracket, but he lost his first match in that round as well to end his season.
Meyer ends the season with a 32-14 record and Karl finishes 32-11.
