NECEDAH – The Spencer girls basketball team had its season come to an end with a 62-40 loss to Necedah in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday at Necedah High School.

The No. 8 seed Necedah (12-11) moves on to a D-4 regional semifinal at No. 1 seed Neillsvile (21-3) on Friday night. Spencer, the No. 9 seed in the Sectional 3 bracket, finishes the year with a 10-15 record.

Autumn Davis scored 25 points to pace the Rockets, who made only 10 field goals in the loss. She made eight of 10 free throws in the foul-filled contest as each team committed 24 fouls.

Brienna Van Hoof led Necedah with 24 points.
