WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield gymnastics team had its highest finish ever at the WIAA State Gymnastics Championships, placing fourth at the Division 2 team meet on Friday at Lincoln High School.
The Tigers finished with a season-best 136.817 points to take fourth among the 10 Division 2 teams at the state meet.
Rice Lake won the team title with 138.234 points, with Monona Grove second with 137.517 points.
Alyvia Dietsche, who will compete at the individual state meet on Saturday, won the balance beam competition with a score of 9.25, placed fourth in the uneven bars (8.833), sixth in the vault (8.883) and 11th in the floor exercise (9.067) to lead the way for Marshfield.
