Marshfield girls track places third, boys sixth at UW-Stout

MENOMONIE – The Marshfield girls tied for third place and the boys took sixth at the Northern Badger Track & Field Large Schools Classic at the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Friday.

Gracie Ridgway earned Marshfield’s only win with a leap of 5 feet in the girls high jump, and her sister Emma Ridgway taking second with a jump of 4-10. Gracie Ridgway also had a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters in 27.86 and took sixth in the 55 meters in 7.78 seconds.

Devyn LeMoine finished second in the pole vault (9-0), the 1,600 relay team of Natalie Scharenbroch, Hailey Klumb, Lily Adler and Lucy Luedtke was third (4:28.02), and Hannah Ridgway also placed third in the long jump (15-6) for Marshfield.

Owen Hoerneman had the Marshfield boys top finish, taking second in the 1,600 in 4:36.42.

Marshall Neve was fourth in the 3,200 (10:46.43) and Monty Woltmann finished fourth in the triple jump (42-6.5) as well for the Tigers.

The Marshfield boys will host an indoor dual meet against D.C. Everest on Tuesday, and both the boys and girls will be back in action Saturday, April 5, at the UW-River Falls Indoor Invitational.
